Covington recently hosted its annual Diversity Summits for prospective summer associates. The 2018 summits provided an opportunity to introduce a diverse pool of candidates to Covington lawyers who represent the firm’s many areas of practice and who are also members of our affinity groups.
Our DC and New York offices came together in DC, where the summit opened with welcoming remarks from Diversity Committee co-chair Mike Imbroscio and Management Committee member Mike Labson. The highlight of the event was an associate panel on firm life. Associates Priscilla Fasoro and Jamin Koo participated in the panel discussion that was moderated by Anne Lee, a partner and co-chair of our Hiring Committee.
Our three California offices came together in San Francisco for a Diversity Dinner hosted by a team of partners representing the diversity of our talent pool. Wade Ackerman, Aaron Lewis, Catherina Min, Ingrid Rechtin and Clara Shin, together with several associates, shared their perspectives on careers at Covington. Much of the discussion centered around the firm's commitment to diversity and inclusion, along with more general aspects of being a lawyer at the firm.
The 2018 events demonstrated Covington’s continued commitment to recruiting a diverse pool of talented summer associates. We look forward to continuing this tradition in the coming years.
