Covington Goes the Extra Mile with Whitman Walker

Covington was among the sponsors of Whitman Walker’s Going the Extra Mile, an annual reception and fundraiser for Whitman-Walker’s Legal Services.

At the reception, Monika Nemeth, DC’s first openly-trans elected official, received the Robert Urquhart Memorial Award. The award, named for a former longtime volunteer and staff member, recognizes a community member and volunteer who has gone above and beyond to champion and serve the LGBTQ community.

Representing Covington at the event was Bill Sokolove.
