Covington Sponsors Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach Annual Dinner Gala

Covington continued its sponsorship of the Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach Annual Dinner Gala, which was held in San Francisco in mid-October this year.

Attendees, who included Covington lawyer Anupam Sharma, honored the Burma Refugee Family Network and the Samoan Community Development Center, both of which are community organizations that partner with the gala’s organizer, API Legal Outreach, to provide legal services to underserved communities.  

Covington is proud to continue its support of API Legal Outreach, which is now in its 41st year. The organization focuses on important areas of law such as domestic violence, elder abuse, and disability rights. API Legal Outreach staff provide legal help in more than a dozen languages including Cantonese, Hindi, Korean, Tagalog, and Vietnamese. Former Covington lawyer Deanna Kwong serves on API’s board.
