Elizabeth Holmes faces judgment day for her Theranos crimes

Amanda Kramer's commentary appeared in an Associated Press article about Elizabeth Holmes and how her pregnancy may impact her impending prison sentence for defrauding Theranos investors.

According to Amanda, "The pregnancy makes it more likely [Judge] Davila will be criticized no matter what sentence he imposes."

“There is a pretty healthy debate about what kind of sentence is needed to effect general deterrence to send a message to others who are thinking of crossing that line from sharp salesmanship into material misrepresentation,” Amanda said.
