The Hill has named Covington’s
Holly Fechner and
Bill Wichterman to its annual “Top Lobbyists” list. The list recognizes “the corporate lobbyists, hired guns, association leaders and grassroots activists who leveraged their expertise and connections to make a difference in the nation’s capital this year.” Those selected “demonstrated a track record of success in the halls of Congress and the administration during a critical year for policy.”
Named to the list for the tenth consecutive year, Holly co-chairs Covington’s Technology Industry Group and previously served as Policy Director to former Senator Edward Kennedy, as well as Chief Labor & Pensions Counsel to the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee. She advises clients on complex public policy matters that combine legal and political opportunities and risks.
Bill previously served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and Deputy Director of Public Liaison at the White House, Policy Advisor to former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, and Chief of Staff to former Representatives Joe Pitts and Bill Baker. He has been active in presidential campaigns and conservative politics. This is the eighth consecutive year in which he has been named to The Hill’s list.
