A Covington team including George Pappas, Jeffrey Elikan, Alexa Hansen, and Michael Kennedy was recognized as "Litigator of the Week" runners up "for helping Amgen make sure Otezla—its branded drug for treating psoriasis that brought in more than $2 billion for the company last year—won’t see generic competition until 2028." The Federal Circuit upheld a district court ruling finding that generic makers infringed several Otezla patents, the last of which won’t expire until February 2028. Covington served as co-counsel to Sidley Austin on the appeal.
