The Hill has named Covington’s Holly Fechner and Bill Wichterman to its annual “Top Lobbyists” list. The list recognizes "corporate lobbyists, hired guns, association leaders and grassroots activists that have had to navigate a divided Congress — and not just the traditional Republican and Democratic divisions." These advocates are recognized "for the results they’ve delivered for their clients, companies, trade associations and advocacy groups in the nation’s capital."
Named to the list for the eleventh consecutive year, Holly co-chairs Covington’s Technology Industry Group and previously served as Policy Director to former Senator Edward Kennedy, as well as Chief Labor & Pensions Counsel to the Senate Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee. She advises clients on complex public policy matters that combine legal and political opportunities and risks.
Bill previously served as Special Assistant to President George W. Bush and Deputy Director of Public Liaison at the White House, Policy Advisor to former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, and Chief of Staff to former Representatives Joe Pitts and Bill Baker. He has been active in presidential campaigns and conservative politics. This is the ninth consecutive year in which he has been named to The Hill’s list.
