Law360 featured Covington as the top “Legal Lion of the Week” after a New York federal judge permanently tossed a proposed class action against its client, Procter & Gamble over a Tide laundry detergent label.

According to Law360, “In a 19-page order, U.S. District Judge Cathy Seibel granted Procter & Gamble's motion to toss plaintiff Aja Adeghe's first amended complaint claiming the laundry detergent didn't contain as much product as advertised, which was 64 loads. Washing machines vary in their capacity, and consumers have varying needs and preferences when doing laundry, so it's not plausible that they'd see the term ‘load’ on the product label and believe that Procter & Gamble meant the amount of laundry that would fill their respective machines, the judge concluded.”
