Covington & Burling Named ITC Firm of the Year

WASHINGTON, DC, April 17, 2014 — Covington & Burling has been named “International Trade Commission Firm of the Year” by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. Covington was selected from among eight law firm finalists. This is the second time the firm has won the award, receiving the previous recognition in 2010.

The award recognizes the excellence of the firm’s ITC practice, which has appeared in some of the largest and most high-profile Section 337 cases before the commission. Covington’s combination of a dedicated team of full-time Section 337 attorneys, highly regarded IP litigators and attorneys with technical backgrounds, and local presence in key foreign countries, make it a firm companies turn to when faced with high value ITC litigation. During the past year, Covington’s ITC appearances included matters for Samsung and Knowles Corporation.

The award was presented on March 25, 2014 at Managing Intellectual Property’s North America awards dinner at the Willard InterContinental in Washington, D.C. The awards are based on research and interviews with both law firms and clients.
