Covington Lawyers Win Three “Europe Women in Business Law Awards"

LONDON—Euromoney Legal Media Group has selected three Covington lawyers for its annual “Europe Women in Business Law Awards.” The awards honor women in the legal sector across Europe.

The Covington lawyers recognized are:

• Louise Nash, Best in Mergers & Acquisitions. Ms. Nash focuses on M&A and other transactional matters for clients in the consumer brands, technology, and life sciences sectors. Her practice is international in scope, with most transactions on which she advises having a cross-border dimension. Ms. Nash is also a member of the firm’s management committee.

• Lisa Peets, Best in Copyright. Ms. Peets, leader of the Technology and Media practice in the firm’s London office, has won the award in the Copyright category for seven consecutive years. Her practice encompasses regulatory counsel and legislative advocacy. In this context, Ms. Peets has worked closely with leading multinationals in a number of sectors, including some of the world’s best-known technology, media, and life sciences companies, counseling clients on a range of EU law issues.

• Natalie Walter, Best in Capital Markets: Equity. Ms. Walter focuses on capital market transactions, including IPOs and equity offerings on the Main and AIM markets of the LSE, as well as other international markets. She advises both corporate issuers and financial institutions covering a range of industries with particular expertise in advising on deals in the life sciences and technology industries.

In addition to the three winners, six other Covington lawyers were shortlisted.
