SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Business Times has named Covington partner Jeffrey Davidson to its “40 Under 40” list recognizing him among the region’s “most promising young talent.” Mr. Davidson is the only litigation attorney named to the list.
Mr. Davidson’s trial and appellate practice focuses on high-stakes commercial, insurance coverage, products liability, and antitrust cases. In recent years, Mr. Davidson has achieved notable successes for his clients, which include some of the world’s largest and most innovative companies. As noted by the publication, Mr. Davidson successfully represented Samsung in a $3.5 billion antitrust case and he has helped recover nearly $1 billion in insurance recoveries on behalf of corporate policyholders. He currently serves as national coordinating counsel for Takata addressing hundreds of personal injury claims arising from the largest automotive safety recall in history.
In its profile, the San Francisco Business Times also highlighted Mr. Davidson’s pro bono work. Mr. Davidson currently leads litigation on behalf of the University of California challenging the federal government’s decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which has resulted in a nationwide injunction barring the government from proceeding with the rescission.
