SAN FRANCISCO—The Daily Journal has named Covington partner Jeffrey Davidson one of its “Top 40 Under 40” lawyers in California.
In its profile of Mr. Davidson, the Daily Journal highlights his representation of the University of California in its challenge to the federal government’s attempted rescission of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Mr. Davidson’s efforts resulted in a nationwide injunction barring the government from proceeding with the rescission, and the case is currently awaiting decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit after he argued it in May.
Mr. Davidson focuses on high-stakes commercial and insurance coverage disputes. In addition to the DACA victory featured by the Daily Journal, Mr. Davidson’s successes in recent years include a $34 million verdict after a bench trial, obtaining hundreds of millions in insurance coverage proceeds for his clients, and serving on a defense team that defeated antitrust claims valued at $3.5 billion.
