Global Arbitration Review and WWL Recognize Covington's Arbitration Practice

LONDON— Global Arbitration Review and Who’s Who Legal: Arbitration have recognized Covington’s International Arbitration Practice Group in its 2019 report. The publication named Covington partners Nicole Duclos and Jeremy Wilson as “Future Leaders,” a ranking of “the most eminent lawyers in the field under 45,” and recognized Miguel López Forastier and Stephen Bond among the “leading lawyers worldwide in the field of arbitration.”
Ms. Duclos, a partner in the firm’s New York office, represents clients in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as transnational litigation. She has acted as counsel and advisor in international commercial arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, ICDR and AAA rules, as well as in investment treaty disputes under the ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. Her experience spans construction, energy, mining, agroindustry, and finance, among other industries, and she has particular experience advising on disputes with a Latin American element.
Resident in London, Mr. Wilson is co-chair of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice Group. He advises and represents parties in price review disputes, investor-state matters, and commercial arbitration matters, including in both ad hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Rules, and institutional arbitrations under the rules of the ICC, HKIAC, the SCC, the DIAC, and the LCIA, in venues around the world. He has particular experience and a proven track record advising clients in the energy, life sciences, media, and consumer brands sectors.
Mr. López Forastier is a partner in the firm’s Washington office, whose practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation. He has successfully represented a wide range of clients, including those in the oil and gas, mining, communications, financial services, and food industries in both investor-State and commercial arbitrations. Both civil-law and common-law trained, he handles contentious work in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Mr. López Forastier is a frequent lecturer on arbitration and international law issues at conferences and universities around the globe. He also serves as arbitrator.
Mr. Bond is senior of counsel in the firm's London office. A former Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, he has served as an advocate or arbitrator in well over one hundred international arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Court of International Arbitration, the Stockholm Arbitration Institute, the Japanese Commercial Arbitration Association, the Vienna Centre, and UNCITRAL. Mr. Bond's experience includes disputes in the energy, international joint venture, defense construction, technology, sales and distribution fields.
