WASHINGTON—Covington's Charles Hamilton and Kendra Mells have been named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 class of 2020.
Mr. Hamilton represents clients in white collar matters involving federal and state regulators, internal investigations and complex commercial litigation matters. In addition, Mr. Hamilton maintains an active pro bono practice, focused primarily on asylum and housing matters.
Ms. Mells helps clients navigate high-stakes investigations and enforcement matters. She has represented clients in internal and government investigations involving a variety of regulators, including major companies in multi-jurisdictional civil and criminal investigations by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The National Black Lawyers 40 Under 40 recognizes the top 40 lawyers from each state who promote its mission through the services they provide to individuals, families, and businesses in their state. Membership is by invitation only.
