BTI Names Six Covington Lawyers “Client Service All-Stars”

WASHINGTON / SAN FRANCISCO— The BTI Consulting Group has named Covington lawyers James Garland, Corinne Goldstein, Benedict Lenhart, Peter Lichtenbaum, Clara Shin, and Sarah Wilson to its 2020 “Client Service All-Stars” list, which recognizes “attorneys who stand above all the others in delivering the absolute best in client service.”
Mr. Garland, based in Washington, focuses on government investigations and enforcement matters, complex commercial litigation, and cybersecurity. He draws upon his experience as a former senior Justice Department official to advise clients on sensitive, multi-dimensional disputes and investigations, often with national security implications. He is a member of the firm's eight-partner Management Committee.
Ms. Goldstein, based in Washington, counsels clients on the application to their worldwide operations of U.S. economic sanctions, export controls, and antiboycott programs. She has particular expertise advising on all of the sanctions programs administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), including the U.S. sanctions against Iran, Russia, Syria, Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea, as well as list-based sanctions.
Mr. Lenhart, based in Washington, practices in the areas of insurance and litigation. He serves as co-chair for Covington’s preeminent Insurance Practice Group. For more than 20 years, he has helped his coverage clients successfully resolve their insurance disputes.
Mr. Lichtenbaum, based in Washington, advises clients on a broad array of international regulatory compliance and trade matters, including export controls, economic sanctions, national security reviews of foreign investments, anti-corruption laws, market access, and international trade disputes. He has specialized experience in the aerospace and defense industries.
Ms. Shin, based in San Francisco, is a first-chair trial lawyer who specializes in intellectual property and complex commercial disputes. She co-chairs the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is frequently called upon by companies in late stages of litigation to take matters to trial or reorient the strategic direction of a case.
Ms. Wilson, based in Washington, is a litigation and investigations partner who chairs the firm’s market-leading Product Safety Practice Group. Her clients include the world’s largest global consumer and commercial products manufacturers across a range of industries, including consumer packaged goods, automotive vehicles and equipment, aviation, electronics, life sciences, and information technology.
