May 27, 2021
WASHINGTON — Covington was named the Insurance: Policyholder Law Firm of the Year by Chambers and Partners at the Chambers USA Awards 2021 today. The awards are based on research completed for the just released edition of Chambers USA, reflecting achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service.
In addition to being selected as the Policyholder Law Firm of the Year, Covington’s insurance practice took top honors in the Chambers USA 2021 Guidebook, where Covington is the only law firm in the policyholder category ranked in ‘Band 1’ nationally, as well as the only firm ranked ‘Band 1” in both California and Washington, D.C. Along with the firm rankings, more than a dozen of Covington’s coverage lawyers were ranked individually (several as "star individuals" or "senior statespersons"), including Don Brown, John Buchanan, Mitchell Dolin, Anna Engh, Marialuisa Gallozzi, Saul Goodman, David Goodwin, Bill Greaney, Christine Haskett, Larry Hobel, Ben Lenhart, Marty Myers, Matt Schlesinger, René Siemens, Seth Tucker, and Gretchen Hoff Varner.
Covington’s insurance practice, with more than 100 lawyers, has a 35-year record of successfully assisting policyholders in maximizing their insurance coverage for a wide variety of contested claims. In addition to Chambers USA, Legal 500 and Benchmark Litigation also rank Covington as the top policyholder practice in the U.S., Washington, D.C., and California, as well as one of the leading practices in the UK.
