October 4, 2021
WASHINGTON–The latest edition of Global Competition Review’s Women in Antitrust has recognized two Covington partners – Miranda Cole and Anne Lee – among leading antitrust law practitioners and regulators globally. Published since 2009, Women in Antitrust celebrates some of the brightest stars of antitrust law.
Miranda Cole is a partner in the firm’s Brussels office. With a broad competition practice, she has been helping a range of companies on transactional and behavioral matters for over 20 years. Miranda focuses on mergers, acquisitions and other transactions, abuse of dominance, vertical and collaborative arrangements, technology transactions, and issues related to information exchange and data. Miranda regularly represents clients in the technology, communications, media, software, aviation, life sciences, and ecommerce sectors. Some of her recent work includes advising Renesas in its acquisition of Dialog, Microsoft in connection with its acquisition of ZeniMax, and Illumina on its attempted acquisition of Pacific Biosciences.
Anne Lee is a partner in the Washington office and co-chair of Covington’s Global Antitrust and Competition practice. She advises clients in complex antitrust litigation matters, strategic transactions, and government investigations. Anne represents clients before the DOJ and FTC on multi-jurisdictional mergers, competitor collaborations, and joint ventures, and has litigated cases at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. Some of Anne’s recent projects have included advising GE in its $21.4 billion sale of its BioPharma business to Danaher, representing the Walt Disney Company in its $71 billion acquisition of certain businesses of 21st Century Fox, and just last week successfully obtaining dismissal with prejudice of all antitrust and unfair competition claims against Tripadvisor.
