WASHINGTON—Covington advised defense technology company Anduril Industries with government contracts and national security issues in relation to its acquisition of Dive Technologies, a pioneer in autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). The acquisition expands Anduril’s suite of autonomous systems, extends its unmanned capabilities to the undersea domain, and accelerates the company’s strategic growth.
Anduril Industries seeks to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology and is committed to bringing cutting-edge AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military. Founded in 2018, Dive Technologies designs, develops, and deploys AUVs for large-scale commercial and defense data collection.
The Covington team was led by partners Scott Freling and Tyler Evans and also included Heather Finstuen, Charles Buker, and Paul Rowley.
