Covington Advises Vectrus in Merger with Vertex

WASHINGTON—Covington advised Vectrus, Inc. in its all-stock merger with The Vertex Company. The combined company will offer expanded technology and service capabilities to support national security readiness and modernization initiatives around the world. The merger is expected to close in the third quarter of 2022.

Vectrus provides critical mission support -- including base operations support, supply chain and logistics, IT mission support, engineering and digital integration, security, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul -- for military and government customers worldwide. The Vertex Company delivers integrated turnkey lifecycle support from concept definition, to engineering and manufacturing, through end of life support of complex systems and platforms.

Government contracts partner Scott Freling led the Covington team, which included Brooke Stanley, Emma Merrill, and Carl Wiersum (government contracts); Jonathan Wakely, Jacob Crump, and Brian Kim (national security); Justin Schenck (trade controls); Jason Levy and Sarah Friedman (pension benefits); Yaron Dori and Trevor Bernardo (communications); and Libbie Canter, and Ryan Burnette.
