August 11, 2022
WASHINGTON—Bloomberg Law has named Covington to its second annual Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Framework for the second year in a row. Covington was recognized for its level of disclosure of diversity-related metrics and distinguished performance against six core pillars: demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity & inclusion in the community.
"We are especially proud to have distinguished Covington as a law firm worthy of consideration to be named to Bloomberg's DEI Framework for the second consecutive year," said Doug Gibson, Covington’s chair. "We have continued to make diversity, equity, and inclusion a priority at the firm, while also constantly examining our progress, improving our efforts, and searching for new and challenging ways to create a more inclusive work environment."
Bloomberg Law’s DEI Framework was developed in collaboration with Bloomberg’s Gender-Equality Index team, as well as diversity leads at corporations and U.S.-based law firms. Performance was assessed across more than 85 metrics, each associated with one of the framework’s six core pillars.
