Global Arbitration Review and WWL Recognize Covington's Arbitration Lawyers

WASHINGTON—Global Arbitration Review and Who’s Who Legal recognized seven Covington International Arbitration Practice Group lawyers as part of its WWL Arbitration 2023 research report. The publication named Joseph Chedrawe, Nicole Duclos, Miguel López Forastier, and Jeremy Wilson as Global Leaders while Ricardo Chirinos, Kyongwha Chung, and David Pinsky were named Future Leaders under the age of 45.
Joseph Chedrawe is an accomplished disputes practitioner with experience in more than 30 countries across four continents, particularly in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He represents multinational corporations, state entities, and private clients in large-scale, high-value disputes, with a focus on mega projects in the energy, infrastructure, industrial, and residential sectors.
Nicole Duclos represents clients in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as transnational litigation. She has acted as counsel and advisor in international commercial arbitrations as well as in investment treaty disputes. Her experience spans construction, energy, mining, agroindustry, and finance, among other industries.
Miguel López Forastier’s practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation. He has successfully represented a wide range of clients, including those in the oil and gas, mining, biotech, pharmaceutical, communications, financial services, and food industries in both investor-State and commercial arbitrations.
Jeremy Wilson, co-chair of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice Group, advises and represents parties in price review disputes, investor-state matters, and commercial arbitration matters in venues around the world. He has particular experience and a proven track record advising clients in the energy, life sciences, media, and consumer brands sectors.
Ricardo Chirinos specializes in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as public international law, and has extensive experience representing clients in high-stakes disputes relating to investments across different industry sectors, including oil and gas, mining and metals, electricity, agriculture, food retail and distribution, forestry, paper and packaging.
Kyongwha Chung acts as counsel and advisor for both states and corporate clients in complex international disputes. She is widely recognized for her expertise in public international law, international investment law, construction law, and international arbitration.
David Pinsky’s practice focuses both on investor-state and on commercial disputes, often arising in Russia and Eastern Europe and in the energy sector. He also counsels clients on how to structure their cross-border investments in order to be well-positioned in case of future disputes with foreign governments.
