LOS ANGELES— The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Wade Ackerman and Aaron Lewis to its ‘Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys’ list, a recognition of leading Los Angeles-based minority attorneys.
Wade is a partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office and advises clients on complex FDA issues that require coordinated legal, regulatory, and public policy strategies. Through his previous positions at the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee and FDA's Office of Chief Counsel, Wade provides unique insights to companies and trade associations regarding the evolving FDA regulatory landscape. He also serves as one of the leaders of Covington’s multidisciplinary Digital Health Initiative, which brings together the firm’s resources to address issues relating to the development and marketing of digital health technologies.
Aaron is a partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office and serves as vice-chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice Group. He is frequently called upon by general counsels and boards of directors to conduct internal investigations and to defend their businesses and senior executives in enforcement matters. Few recent developments have had a greater impact on public companies or their boards of directors than the increasing number of shareholder proposals calling for civil rights or racial equity audits. Aaron is an innovator in this rapidly evolving frontier at the intersection of ESG and traditional internal investigations.
