LOS ANGELES— The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Abigail O’Brient and Ashley Simonsen to its ‘Leader of Influence: Banking & Finance’ list, a recognition of the leading Los Angeles-based professionals with exceptional leadership, knowledge, skill and achievements in banking and finance.

Abigail is a partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office with a wide-ranging restructuring and creditor rights litigation practice. She focuses on the representation of secured and unsecured creditors in insolvency cases and other proceedings nationwide and routinely represents parties in litigation related to insolvency and distressed debt in state and federal court, as well as purchasers and sellers of distressed assets and fiduciaries in bankruptcy cases and other insolvency matters.

A partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office, Ashley focuses on defending complex class actions and mass torts in state and federal courts across the country and represents clients in the technology, financial services, and consumer brands industries through all stages of litigation, with a strong track record of success on early dispositive motions.
