WASHINGTON—Covington has received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRCF) 2025 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. This is the 16th consecutive year Covington has received this recognition.
“Covington’s continued recognition by the Human Rights Campaign is incredibly gratifying as we continue to explore different paths in recruiting, retaining, developing, and promoting lawyers from diverse backgrounds to advance the interests of our clients, our practice, and our entire profession,” said Doug Gibson, Covington’s chair. “It is critical that we seek to retain our rich and diverse pool of talented lawyers, who will serve as leaders, mentors, and role models for future generations of Covington lawyers.”
Covington’s 100 rating is a result of various firm policies and practices including non-discrimination policies, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families, supporting an inclusive culture, and corporate social responsibility.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the educational arm of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for LGBTQ+ people.
