NEW YORK—Her Justice honored Covington with its Firm Partnership Award and recognized associate Susan Hwang with its Pro Bono All Star Award.
Her Justice’s Firm Partnership Award is given to institutions that have collaborated with Her Justice to deliver on the promise of pro bono to harness the private sector’s skill and desire to make a difference and match it with Her Justice’s expertise in the civil justice system and connections to clients. Her Justice noted that it selected Covington for the firm’s “long history of fantastic work with Her Justice, including cultivating a program with excellent returning pro bono attorneys, taking on uniquely hard cases, and a commitment to language access” in its pro bono representations.
Susan Hwang was also honored by Her Justice, receiving its Pro Bono All Star Award which is given to individuals whose dedication and exceptional commitment to clients reach beyond the scope of their pro bono role and embody Her Justice’s values. Susan has worked with Her Justice clients who are noncitizen survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, helping them through their complex immigration petitions to obtain a path to legal status in the U.S.
Susan is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice, focusing on a wide array of transactions in the life sciences and technology industries.
Covington has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service.
