Johan Dagergard

Johan Dagergard is a dual-qualified New York and Swedish lawyer with a broad transactional corporate practice and particular focus on the Nordic region. He has extensive experience representing Nordic clients on U.S. and other cross-border matters. Having spent his entire career covering the Nordic region with various international firms, Johan combines substantive expertise with specialist knowledge of the local legal and commercial markets.

Johan’s practice covers cross-border M&A transactions, international capital markets transactions, growth- and venture capital raises, joint ventures and general corporate matters. He advises clients on U.S. securities laws and regulations and has represented issuers and investment banks on IPOs, private placements and other equity capital markets transactions across Europe, the Middle East and the United States, including U.S. registered offerings.

Prior to joining Covington, Johan worked for a pan-European corporate finance advisory firm, and before holding that role, worked in the London and New York offices of a leading global U.S. law firm, in each case with specific responsibility for covering Nordic clients and transactions. He started his law career in the Stockholm office of an international law firm.
