Rebecca Dalton represents and advises both emerging and leading organizations regarding a variety of intellectual property matters, including trademark, false advertising, right of publicity, copyright, and domain name issues.
With respect to protecting IP rights, Rebecca manages global and national trademark portfolios for a wide range of clients throughout the fields of sports, education, science, health, financial services, consumer goods, and technology, amongst others. As part of this work, Rebecca regularly conducts and reviews trademark clearance searches and advises on the process of securing trademark registrations.
With respect to enforcing IP rights, Rebecca has extensive experience pursuing alleged infringers and defending against allegations of infringement, both at the pre-litigation and litigation stages. She has had success in court as well as at the negotiating table, and she specializes in matters that involve consumer surveys.
In addition the above, Rebecca often serves as a subject matter expert in M&A transactions where IP rights are critical, performing due diligence and revising provisions of deal agreements.
In the domain name sphere, Rebecca has recovered dozens of domain names through demand letters and UDRP proceedings, and she takes a lead role in management of clients' registrations in the Trademark Clearinghouse.
