    Georgia Ling is an associate in the Project Development and Finance group in the London office.

    Georgia's practice focuses on international energy and infrastructure projects. She advises borrowers, sponsors and lenders on the acquisition, development and financing of such projects throughout the world with a particular focus on power and renewable energy.

    As part of her training contract, Georgia seconded to Covington’s PDF team in the Dubai office.

    • Advising a sponsor consortium on the development and financing of a large-scale seawater treatment and water transportation project worth up to $2.4 billion in Abu Dhabi. The project was awarded “Water Deal of the Year” for 2023 by IJ Global.
    • Two developer consortia on the development and financing of two residential communities—including associated utilities—at the NEOM smart city in Saudi Arabia. At a value of over $5.5 billion, the project is one of the largest public-private partnerships for accommodation globally. The project was awarded the “Alternative Infrastructure Award” for 2023 by IJ Global.
    • Advising a borrower on a landmark $80 million bridge loan in connection with a 200 megawatts solar photovoltaic power plant and 500 MW per hour battery energy storage system project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
