Nils Wahl

Nils Wahl brings an unparalleled wealth of experience as a judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) between 2019 and 2024. He had previously held positions of Advocate General before the Court (2012-2019), and a judge before the General Court (2006-2012). His strategic insights, particularly in structuring appeals and prioritizing arguments effectively, are invaluable assets that will benefit clients across multiple sectors, especially in cases where the possibility of a potential appeal needs to be considered.

From 2001 to 2006, Nils chaired the Swedish Council for European Legal Research and was a member of the Swedish Competition Authority’s independent research council. He was a professor of EU law at Stockholm University from 2001 to 2024, and since 2025 visiting professor at Uppsala University.

Nils is renowned for his judgments and opinions in the competition area, although his expertise spans the diverse array of laws dealt with by the CJEU.
