The theme of the 2018 Forum was “Business respect for human rights—building on what works”. The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) require companies to conduct human rights due diligence (HRDD) in order to meet their “Pillar Two” obligation to prevent negative human rights impacts throughout their global operations and supply chains.
