Covington's Nordic practice takes a multidisciplinary, cross-practice approach to supporting multinational clients across a range of sectors, including energy and life sciences companies, financial institutions, and automotive and shipping/logistics providers. We draw as needed on the deep expertise of lawyers and advisors in related practices across the firm who can advise clients on Corporate, International Trade, Investigations and Compliance, and Venture Capital matters in the Nordic region.

We harness the global regulatory strength, established relationships, and cross-border experience of our team, which includes partners and professionals with significant experience in the Nordic region, to benefit our clients. Our team includes Carl Bildt, Former Prime Minister of Sweden, who as a non-lawyer member of the firm’s global Public Policy and Government Affairs practice, contributes his extensive political experience to advise our clients.

Covington also provides crucial litigation support to our clients in the Nordic region. Our litigators appear before courts in Europe, state and federal courts, and enforcement agencies throughout the U.S., as well as arbitral tribunals throughout the world. We handle bet-the-company litigation, defend against enforcement actions by national and local government agencies, lead comprehensive appeals, including before the U.S. Supreme Court, and handle complicated international disputes.
